Ellen Humbert

Ellen Humbert, born and raised in Michigan, came to Arizona as a new bride in 1962. From a starting point in Parker Arizona, to Superior, and finally to Mesa – she and her husband settled down to teach school and raise their family. Now in retirement, Ellen continues to pursue her favorite things: music, drama, sign language, writing, and puppetry.

And what does she have to say about all the little friends living in her puppet closet? “Well, what started out as a ministry for the kids at church more that thirty years ago, has grown into a much bigger outreach, for I have discovered that the ‘grown-ups’ enjoy ‘Ellen ‘n Friends’ too. And confidentially… it’s a good excuse for me to keep on playing with my dolls!”
